Long-press LED Light button for 3 seconds to turn on/off LED light. Once temperature alarm is enabled, LED light will flicker as reminder when the measured temperature exceeds the preset alarm value.

Note: Forbid to aim at eyes to avoid injury when LED light is on.

UTi260B supports screen projection. Please refer to the steps below to enjoy it.

Download projection app “UTi-Live Screen” from our official website

Decompress the downloaded file, then install it;

Connect UTi260B to PC via original USB cable;

Set “USB camera” in Settings>USB mode;

Open UTi-Live Screen app, and UTi260B’s screen will be projected to PC automatically.

Note: Do not unplug USB cable during projection. Close projection app before unplugging USB cable after use.

After Image display mode switched to “Fusion” or “PIP”, tap “Left/Right” button to adjust fusion ratio by 25%.

Note: Fusion ratio cannot be controllable in Thermal and Digital mode.

Except Center spot, at most 3 temperature point can be added optionally.

Operating steps: Tap “SET” button to call out Tool Bar> select “Point Measurement” to add temperature point.

UTi260B supports ROI. You can touch “SET” button to call out Tool bar> select “Measurement” to enable/disable it.

Note: After ROI is enabled, Center spot temperature and auto tracking for Hi/Lo temperature function will be disabled automatically.

UTi260B supports Auto tracking for Hi/Lo temperature. You can touch “SET” button to call out Tool Bar> select “Measurement” to enable/disable “HiLo spot” (Enabled default).

Sure. UTi260B has Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature unit, which can be switched in Settings>Temperature Unit.

Temperature compensation is unavailable on UTi260B. However, we still can manually adjust parameters of “Ambient temperature” and “Measurement distance” to realize temperature compensation. Ambient temperature and Measurement distance can be adjusted in Settings>Measurements.

Press “Return” button slightly on Home screen to calibrate measurement temperature is helpful for improving stability of measurement.

UTi260B is equipped with a Digital Lens (640×480 pixels), an Infrared Lens (256×192 pixels) and Dual LED Light.

UTi712S has CE, UKCA, and RoHS certificates. Certificates logos are print on the device surface. If certificates numbers are needed, please contact your sellers.

UTi712S with a tough appearance, which passes 2m drop test. It also obtains IP54 level certification. Please be assured to use that.

UTi712S adopts Type-C connection interface, which locates at the upper of the device. Details can be found from product structure instruction of user manual.

Sure. UTi712S supports to install an SD card. An 16GB SD card is attached in package.

Warmly tips: To avoid data loss, it would be better to plug out SD card after the device is powered off.

Output power of UTi712S’s original adapter is 10W (5V~2A), it only takes 2.5 hours to fully charged from 0 at stand by status. To ensure the battery life, you are recommended to charge the device by the original adapter.

Don’t worry, frequently-used emissivity sheet has been attached in user manual, you can refer it to cope with different photography scenarios. Emissivity can be adjusted in Menu>Settings>Emissivity.

Sure. UTi712S is equipped with an intellectualized alarm system, which can be found in Menu>HI/LO Alert. Once the features are activated, system will alert the users by buzzing, flickering LED flashlight, and showing warning icons when the measured temperature is higher or lower than the preset alarm values.

Amount of system languages built-in on UTi712S are total 5, including English, German, French, Spanish, and Russian, which can be switched in Menu>Settings>Languages.

Rear triple cameras of UTi712S consists of Laser Camera, Infrared Camera, and LED light. Details of structure instructions can be found from user manual.

To facilitate the user to browse the images more clearly, users can project the screen to PC by connecting the device to PC Analysis App. Detailed steps are as below:

1. Download & install PC Analysis App from UNI-T’s website
2. Connect the device to PC with the original Type-C to USB cable;
3. Select “USB Projection” on UTi720E in Menu>Settings>USB Mode;
4. Open the installed app on PC, then switch to ApowerMirror mode, and you will see the real-time imaging.

UTi720E supports WiFi download photos function. Please follow the steps below:

1. Download & install app on your phone from UNI-T website
2. Turn on Wi-Fi Hotspot on UTi720E inMenu>Settings>Wi-Fi;
3. Connect your phone to UTi720E’s personal hotspot;
4. Open the installed app>tap “Device” button>choose “UTi720E” and click “Sure” (If connected successfully, connection icon will display in color);
5. Tap “Photomode”>tap “Local”>select “Remote” and click “Sure”>click “Select” icon at the upper right corner>choose the photos you want to download>tap download iconat the bottom to save them on your phone.

When the battery power is insufficient, a red battery icon with exclamation point will flicker on display screen as reminder. Please charge your device timely when the icon appears.

UTi720E is equipped with a replaceable Li-ion battery pack with 5200mAh. It can continuous operating at least 3.5 hours after fully charged.

Time-Lapse can be enabled/disable in Menu>Settings>Camera model. Time interval is selectable (10s~1000s). After the switch is turned on, tap photography trigger slightly to trigger. If the shooting process is not be interrupted artificially, device will keep photographing until storage capacity or batter power is insufficient. If you need to interrupt it manually, just tap the trigger again.

Tap “SET” button to call out main menu, select “Markup”, choose “Hi Spot” and “Lo Spot” icon. When the icons show in color, it indicates that Hi/Lo temperature tracking function is activated. Once enabled, tracking frames and temperature display on the viewing.

UTi720E supports 2x and 4x digital zoom. Tap “Up” button on home screen to trigger it (Zooming multiple icon displays beside battery icon).

Note: Digital zoom only works in Thermal, Fusion , and Digital modes.

Tap “SET” button to call out main menu, select “Measure”, choose “Clear”, and click “OK” to remove all added measurement tools at once.

Measurement tools supported on UTi720E including Point (up to 3), Line (Up to 1), Rectangle (up to 3), and Circle (up to 3). Maximum number of tools can be added simultaneously is up to 6. Tools bar can be called out by tapping “SET” button>Measure.

Yeah. Total 6 styles of Isotherm supported on UTi720E, including “Auto”, “Ratio”, “Below”, “Above”, “Section”, and “Manual”, which can be found in Menu>Isotherm.

UTi720E has total 7 sets palettes to cope with different requirements of usage scenarios, including Whitehot, Redhot, Iron, Blackhot, Rain.HC, Lava, and Rainbow

There are two ways to switch image modes:

Tap “SET” button on home screen to call out Menu, select the second one “Image” option, then click “SET” button again to call out submenu, select the image mode according to your need;

Tap “Right” button on home screen to enter Fusion mode, fusion proportion increases by 25% every time clicking Right button until entering Thermal mode. Oppositely, enter to Digital mode (Note: Only support to switch between Thermal, Fusion and Digital modes).

There are total 5 styles of image modes supported on UTi720E, including Thermal, Digital, Fusion, PIP, and QR. Touch SET button to call out Menu, select the second one “Image” icon to check the details.

UTi720E is equipped with an intelligentized alarm system. Once Hi/Lo Alert feature is activated, a red triangle or green inverted triangle icon will appear on the screen when the measured temperature is higher or lower than the preset values. It used to remind the users stay away from the dangerous and keep the device safe. Feature can be turned off in Settings>HI/LO Alert (It is recommended to turn on).

HI/LO icon alarm and LED flickering modes are supported on UTi720E.

UTi720E supports Chinese and English. You can switch between Chinese and English in Settings>Language according to your need.

The temperature range that UTi720E supports to measure is between -20℃~550℃ (-4℉~1022℉), which can meet more requirements of usage scenarios.

UTi720E adopts high-resolution Infrared camera with 256 x 192 pixels. Outstanding performance provides clearer thermal imaging during shooting process.

UTi720E comes with a 3.5-inch IPS display screen with 640×480 pixels. Benefit by the features of IPS screen, UTi720E with high reduction degree imaging color, which makes the display effect more real. UTi256G/UTi384G provides 3 photo modes, including “Photo”, “Video”, and “Timed photo shooting”, which can be switched in Settings>Photo mode.

The temperature range that UTi256G & UTi384G support to measure is between -20℃ to 550℃.

If the image tags such as “Date and time”, “Emissivity”, “Battery power”, etc. are needed to be shown on the home page, please enable them in Settings>Image tags.

Slightly touch the screen on home page to call out functions menu, tap the first icon to adjust the parameters of “Emissivity”, “Optical transmittance”, “Reflected temperature”, and “Relative humidity”. Also, “Target distance” can be adjusted in Settings.

UTi256G/UTi384G adopts touch display screen design. On home interface, swipe inside/outside the screen via two fingers to zoom in/out the images.

Slide downward from the upper of the screen to promptly call out shortcut center on home interface. Data transmission switches such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. can be controlled optionally. Also, users can check the storage capacity and adjust screen brightness.

UTi256G/UTi384G supports “Sleep mode” and “Auto power off” function, which are effective for saving battery operating time.

Sleep Mode: Short press Power button to enter sleep mode when the device is on. (Note: Battery power will still be consumed even though it enters sleep mode, it is recommended to shut down the device when it is not necessary for working)

Auto Power Off: Auto power off function is built-in on the settings menu. Customers can select the settings according to the actual conditions.

UTi256G/UTi384G supports to add Point, Line, Rectangle, and Circle. For UTi256G, up to 3 graphics can be added for each type. For UTi384G, up to 5 graphics can be added for each type.

Sure. UTi256G/UTi384G has IP54 certificate. Please be assured to use it.

Note: To ensure the products can work well, it is not recommended to perform non-professional waterproof or dustproof tests on the products.

The standard accessories of UTi256G/UTi384G including two Li-ion battery pack, micro SD card, Hand strap, Type-C USB cable, English manual, and documents download operation guide card.

The battery pack of UTi256G/UTi384G adopts snap-on design, which is allowed to be detached.

The buckle on the side of the product shell is used to hang the hand strap. It is convenient for the users to carry the product anywhere and anytime. And reduce the risk of product damage caused by falling by accident.

The black trigger is used to enable laser pointer, and the red trigger is for photo capturing and video recording.

With excellent temperature measurement performance and manual focus function, UTi256G/UTi384G is widely used for remote measuring in electric power industry.

The main components consist of UTi256G/UTi384G including a 3.5” touch display screen, a focus adjusting wheel, dual LED lighting, an infrared camera, a digital camera, and a laser pointer.

Differences between UTi256G and UTi384G are shown as below:

①IR Resolution: UTi256G is with 256×192 resolution, for UTi384G is 384×288.

②FOV: FOV value of UTi256G is 28°x 20°, for UTi384G is 42°x 30°.

③On Screen Analyzer: UTi256G supports to add 3 points/3 lines/3 rectangles/3 circles. UTi384G supports to add 5 points/5 lines/5 rectangles/5 circles.

④Video Recording: UTi256G does not support video recording function, but UTi384G does.

The main features of UTi256G/UTi384G are shown as below:

①Touch Display Screen: Equipped with a 3.5” touch display screen with 640 x 480 resolution, which shows infrared images clearly & intuitively, and save time of frequent operation.

②Manual Focusing: Equipped with an adjustable focusing ring, easy to handle near and far shooting distance.

③MIF: Adopt a brand new algorithm technology “T-Mix” for image blending, which can clearly show heat radiation info of IR image and texture info of visual image simultaneously. Furthermore, benefited by the powerful algorithm technology, image can be automatic registered by one-tap , which greatly saves operation time for manual registration.

④Video Recording: Support to output video file in MP4 format. (Note: Video recording function is only available on UTi384G)

⑤Laser Pointer & LED Lighting: Equipped with dual LED lighting and laser pointer with class 2 grade.

⑥Voice Recording & Audio Annotation: Record the external sound while recording video. Add text & audio annotation for the captured photos.

⑦Analysis software: PC & APP analysis software can be downloaded from the official website. The software integrates “photo analysis”, “report generation”, “data share”, etc. functions. Moreover, Wi-Fi streaming is also provided by App software, which meets the needs of multiple device synchronized online.

Temperature mark can be enabled/disabled in Setting>Temperature mark.

Both snapshot capturing and video recording are supported on UTi720M/UTi721M. Slide left/right from the Shutter button to switch between photo capturing and video recording modes.

Total 7 color palettes are available on UTi720M/UTi721M, including Iron, Rainbow, White Hot, Red Hot, Black Hot, Lava, and Rainbow HC.

Hold and drag the created measuring tool to the areas outside of the viewfinder to delete the single measuring tool. If you wanna delete all created measuring tools at once, please tap “Trash” icon and select “Yes”.

Sure. UTi720M/UTi721M is featured with On screen analyzer function. Users can manually add measuring tools such as Point, Line, and Rectangle. Up to 3 graphics can be added for each type, and total 9 graphics can be shown on the screen simultaneously.

While a human graphic appears beside the temperature measuring values, it indicates that the current measuring mode is Human body mode. Human body mode is more suitable for measuring and monitoring temperature of human being. If you want to switch Industry mode, please enter Setting>Modes.

Note: Human body mode is only available on UTi721M.

PIP is a image mode to show thermal image and visual image simultaneously. Tap the icon on the right side of Shutter button to activate PIP mode.

Total 3 image modes supported on UTi720M/UTi721M, including Thermal, Fusion, and PIP.

Mirror function is used to flip thermal images. On vertical mode, tap mirror icon to flip thermal image to left/right, or flip thermal image to up/down on landscape mode.

UTi720M/UTi721M cannot be recognized successfully if OTG function is disabled. Please make sure OTG is enable before connecting UTi720M/UTi721M to your mobile phone. If the issue still exists even though OTG is enabled, please contact us timely.

Mobile app for UTi720M/UTi721M can only be installed on smartphone with Android M and higher versions.

UTi720M and UTi721M are different in color, temperature measurement range, and temperature measurement mode, details are shown as below:

Color: UTi720 adopts silver appearance design, for UTi721M is black.

Temperature measurement range: The temperature range supports to be measured by UTi720M is -20℃~200℃, for UTi721M is -20℃~550℃.

Temperature measurement mode: Only Industry mode is available for UTi720M. For UTi721M, both Industry & Human body modes are supported.

Infrared Detector is the heart of thermal camera devices. Its main feature is to convert infrared radiation into electrical signal. Infrared detector can be divided into cooled and uncooled detectors.

Cooled detector: Based on photovoltaic detector and photon detection, integrated cryogenic cooler is used to cool down the detector. Its purpose is to make the thermal noise signal lower than the imaging signal. Cooled detectors are commonly used in military applications (e.g., Space equipment, Warships, etc.).

• Advantages: High sensitivity, high accuracy, long detection distance, fast response time, and stable performance.
• Disadvantages: Large power consumption, high-cost, low flexibility.

Uncooled detector: Based on microbolometer & thermal detection, uncooled detector mainly includes polysilicon and vanadium oxide, which is usually used in civilian field (e.g., Circuit inspection, equipment maintenance, etc.)

• Advantages: Low power consumption, low-cost, high flexibility.
• Disadvantages: Low sensitivity, slow response time, short detection distance.

Dead pixel indicates the bright or dark flecks in infrared images that do not change with the target, which caused by high or low response rate of single detector element to infrared radiation, it also called as ineffective pixel.

Ghost indicates the bright or dark lines in infrared images that do not change with the target, which caused by the non-uniform response rate of detector element to infrared radiation.

Thermal time constant can be comprehended as the time required by thermal cameras to generate a image with complete and accuracy temperature data. The smaller the thermal time constant, the faster the speed of photo generation, and the faster and moving objects can be captured.

Due to the limits of infrared detector manufacturing process, each detection element on infrared detector has different response rate to infrared radiation, ghost appears on the images, which affects imaging quality. Non-uniformity correction function can effectively prevent the appearance of ghost, and restore the authenticity of the images.

NETD (Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference) indicates that the smallest temperature difference can be detected by infrared detector, which is one of the most important parameters to measure performance of infrared detector/sensor. NETD is typically being expressed in milli-Kelvin (mK). The lower the NETD, the better the imaging quality.

MRTD (Minimum Resolvable Temperature Difference) is the key parameter to comprehensively evaluate the ability of NETD and IFOV in the field of thermal imaging. At a given IFOV value, when observers can just distinguish 4 bands (50% of probability), the temperature difference between the target and background called MRTD. The smaller the MRTD, the better the performance of infrared thermal imagers.

Size of imaging resolution reflects arrangement distribution and total number of detection element on focal plane of detector. The higher the imaging resolution, the clearer the imaging.

Pixel size also known as detection element, it is the smallest unit used by sensor to scan objects, each pixel size indicates a temperature acquisition unit. The smaller the pixel size, the better the imaging quality.

Frame rate is the frequency at which bitmap image consecutively appear in frame on the display screen of the device.

Focal length of lens is the distance from the center of the lens to its focus, usually denoted in F. Its unit is usually expressed in millimeter. The larger the distance, the farther the clear image can be taken.

Measurement accuracy indicates the difference between the measured temperature and actual temperature. The smaller the value, the better the performance of infrared thermal imager.

IFOV also called as spatial resolution. It indicates the actual size of the corresponding objects for each pixel, expressed in radian. The smaller the IFOV, the higher the imaging resolution.

In the case of optical devices, set optical instrument’s lens as vertex, the angle formed by two edges of the maximum range that the image of the measured objects can pass through called FOV (Filed of view). With the same resolution, the larger the FOV, the wider the range of observed objects, but more blurred the images.

Temperature compensation technology is used to weaken or eliminate the measurement error caused by ambient temperature changes. Its principle is calculating the changes of sensor’s temperature emissivity, ambient temperature, etc. values to correct the measurement data.

Technology that converting object surface’s temperature distribution into a visible image through the special electronic equipment and displaying the temperature distribution in different colors called thermal imaging technology.

All objects above absolute zero (-273℃) emit infrared radiation. Find and recognize targets by using infrared radiation images formed by radiation differences between objects.

Infrared thermal imagers are usually composed of infrared detector/refrigerator unit, infrared optical lens, optical unit, focusing/magnifying unit, internal non-uniformity correction unit, imaging circuit unit, etc.

Infrared thermal cameras are one of the devices that support to collect infrared radiation (heat energy) and convert them into a visual image with temperature data.

To ensure products can be circulated normally in market, products must meet the local laws and regulations before sale, it means products need to pass the certification test. Products cannot be sold in market without certificates.

UL certificate is produced by the most authoritative safety accrediting agency “Underwriter Laboratories Inc.” in US. It detects the products in a scient testing way to confirm whether the products can meet the safety standard required by the market. Service items provided by UL including “Listed”, “Recognized”, and “Classification”, EMC characteristic is excluded in the certification range of UL. UL certification is non-mandator in US. In summary, UL certification is an important indicator of product safety and a major consideration in product selection.

RoHS is an instruction that limits to use some harmful materials for electrical and electronic equipment. Issuing RoHS instruction is aimed to coordinate WEEE instruction, advocate environment protection and energy saving, prevent waste generation, also reduce resource wasting for waste recycling, reuse, and remanufacturing.

To ensure the safety of radio and wire communication products related to life and property, all products applicable to FCC instruction must own FCC certificates before launching America. FCC marking can be viewed on product package or body.

UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) is a product conformity assessment system created in UK local. From January, 1^st, 2021 on, all newly manufactured products applicable to UKCA instruction are required to meet the standard test stipulated by UK regulations. Products can only be circulated in UK market after obtained UKCA certificates.

Note: Products manufactured before 2021 year can still be sold in UK market by CE certificates.

CE certification is a basic safety requirement to limit the product that do not endanger the safety of human, animal, and goods, rather than general quality requirement. CE marking is a mandatory certification marking. All products circulated on EU market must be print CE marking to indicate that the products have been evaluated before launching to market, and meet the basic legal requirements for sales. CE marking can be viewed on product package or body.

①Keep away from pyrogen and combustion source;

②Keep away from sunshine;

③Do not dismantle or squeeze the battery pack;

④Take out the battery pack to prevent battery fluid leakage to damage thermal imager when thermal imager is idle for a long term;

⑤Use a regular and in line with the charging specifications of the power adapter for charging;

⑥Keep the battery pack clean and dry;

⑦Clean battery connection interface via a soft brush or dry cotton swab.

Using rubber suction bulb to clean the dust covers on the surface of LCD screen first. If there is stubborn dust or vapor on it, please slightly clean it via the professional cleaning wiping cloth or dry soft cloth.

Note: Do not use excessive force during cleaning to avoid damage to the screen.

The surface of the infrared thermal imaging lens is attached with a fine anti-reflective coating. Do not use too much force to damage the anti-reflective coating. If professional cleaning equipment is available, you can clean the lens surface particles via compressed air tank or dry nitrogen ion gun. Otherwise, soak the flannelette in lens cleaner containing alcohol, ethanol or vinyl. Before cleaning, remove the excess liquid from the cloth and gently wipe the lens surface in a circular motion.

Material adopted by body shell of infrared thermal imager is silicon gel, it is recommended to clean with a cloth dipped in mild alkaline soapy water. Do not clean with corrosive liquid such as abradant, isopropanol, and dissolvent.

Device will not be powered off automatically when its surrounding ambient temperature is too high/low. However, it might cause the device damaged, please store or use the device within the specified temperature range.

Rate level may vary from different SD cards. It is divided into 5 levels at present, including Class2/4/6/8/10. Class10 is the highest level, whose read and write speed is fastest. Speed of reading and writing data will be affected if using SD card with low rate level, which may cause lagging. It is recommended to use the original SD card, it has already passed the tests before launching, which can meet your daily use.

The methods as below can improve the fluency of the device:

①As the number of photos stored increase, storage space of the device will inevitably decrease. Please back up data termly, clear the unnecessary or duplicate photos to release storage space is effective to improve device fluency.

②Using the original or regular external memory card, or speed of reading and writing data will be affected.

③Keep system to the latest version. System upgrade improves system stability, and solve the compatibility problems on old version.

It needs to take some time for system upgrade. Please wait 3 to 5 minutes to check whether upgrade process will be automatically finished or not. If long time no response on the device, forcibly shut down the device by long-pressing Power button or removing battery pack. After that, try to power on the device. If it can be powered on normally, please back up data first, then format SD card, and repeat the steps to system upgrade. If fail to upgrade system, please contact our technology personnel.

Long-press Power button to forcibly shut down the device. After the screen goes black, long-press Power button to power on the device. If there is no any response when trying to forcibly shut down the device, and the battery type of the device is detachable, you can remove the battery pack to shut down the device.

①Visit official website to check whether there is the latest firmware for your device. If yes, and firmware version is higher than the current version of your device, please upgrade your device to the latest version (contact us for upgrade details)

②Back up data, perform “Reset to factory”.

If the issue still exists, please contact us in time.

The reasons as below may cause the device power off automatically. Please eliminate one by one:

①The device cannot be powered on normally when the battery power is insufficient. Please charge your device for 20mins for a try;

②Auto Power off is activated. The device will power off automatically when there is no any action on it within the preset time. Go check whether Auto power off is activated in Menu>Settings>Auto power off.

If the issue still exists, please back up the data first, then perform Factory Reset in Menu>Settings>Factory Reset. If the issue still cannot be solved, please contact us timely.

①Battery power is insufficient. Charge the device via the regular USB cable and adapter for 20 mins. Long press Power key to turn on the device for a try (If the battery pack is dismountable, click battery key to check the remaining power);

②Ambient temperature is too low. If ambient temperature is too low, Li-ion battery activity will be reduced, which may cause the device not work normally. Please store the device in a place with suitable operating temperature. Use the device until its temperature recover to normal.

Limited by system compatibility, third-party ROM versions are not supported to be installed on our devices. To ensure system stability and normal use of the functions, please download firmware of the corresponding model from official website.
